The Patent Map Behind Jasmy, JasmyLab, JANCTION, Remixpoint and DEEPPOINT
Real patents. Real technology. A clearer picture.

When we talk about technology companies, it is easy to focus on announcements, partnerships and future plans. Inspired by the lack of forthcoming information from the recent VO1D event, I've decided to dig deeper into the area of patents because they give us something different. They show technologies that a company or inventor has considered sufficiently important and potentially novel to seek legal protection.
For the companies surrounding Jasmy, the patent trail is particularly interesting because it stretches across:

electricity-market optimisation
power conversion
distributed computing
In this article, I seek to distinguish granted patents, pending applications, international families, divisional filings, historical patents and related third-party patents rather than blending them together.

Importantly, a patent application is not the same thing as a granted patent. I have therefore labelled the status of each patent as clearly as possible.

First: how to read the status
GRANTED
A patent office has examined the application and granted patent rights.
PENDING
The application has been filed but has not yet resulted in a granted patent.
PCT / INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION
A PCT application provides a route for seeking patent protection internationally.
It does not mean that the inventor automatically owns a patent in every country.
Separate national or regional patent rights generally have to be pursued.
EXPIRED / HISTORICAL
The patent existed but the particular right is no longer active.
RELATED
The patent is relevant because of an inventor, partner or underlying technology, but it is not owned by the company being discussed. That distinction is particularly important when discussing #Tadashi Morita's earlier #Sony inventions.
1. JASMY
#Jasmy has the most directly relevant patent portfolio in this group.
Its identifiable patent work covers personal data, blockchain, device authentication, biometric security, interactive identity verification and, most recently, electrical power systems.
These should not be treated as one giant patent.
They are separate inventions.

What problem is it trying to solve?
When somebody proves who they are to a company or service, they often provide far more personal information than the organisation actually needs.
For example, proving that you meet an age requirement does not necessarily require handing over your complete identity record.
Jasmy's invention creates a distinction between highly identifying personal information and information derived from it that has a lower level of identifiability.
What does the patent actually do?
The terminal stores highly identifying information.
It can then associate that information with other personal information that reveals less about the individual.
That lower-identifiability information can be supplied to another party.
The patent also incorporates blockchain into the management and provision of this information.
Example
Think of your complete identity as being locked inside a secure box.
Instead of giving a company the entire box, the system could provide only the particular fact that the company needs.
The aim is essentially:
prove what is necessary without unnecessarily revealing who you are.
Why would Jasmy want this?
This fits directly with Jasmy's long-standing concept of data sovereignty.
Rather than organisations automatically accumulating complete profiles about people, the individual can potentially exercise much more control over which information is released.

What problem is this one trying to solve?
Sometimes the receiving organisation really does need the more sensitive identifying information.
That creates another problem:
"How can highly identifying information be transmitted while ensuring that only the intended recipient can read it?"
What does it do?
This application develops the earlier personal-information concept further.
Highly identifying information can be written using blockchain while remaining encrypted.
The intended recipient possesses the cryptographic key required to decrypt it.
Example
Imagine putting confidential information into a locked digital envelope.
The envelope can travel through a shared system, but only the intended recipient has the key. Anyone else seeing the envelope cannot simply read its contents.
Why is it important?
This moves the concept from merely reducing the amount of information disclosed to protecting sensitive information when it actually must be disclosed.
That could be useful for:
verified digital identity
regulated services
financial onboarding
employment verification
health or insurance environments
government-linked identity services
It should not, however, be interpreted as proof that any Japanese government system currently uses this patent.

What does the international filing tell us?
This is significant because Jasmy did not limit this particular invention to Japan.
It sought protection in several major markets.
As of this review, the picture is:

That is much more meaningful than simply saying that Jasmy “has an international patent”.
It has an international patent family with different legal statuses in different jurisdictions.

Device-specific cryptographic keys for blockchain recording

What problem is it trying to solve?
Blockchain systems depend heavily on cryptographic keys.
If the same fundamental key is repeatedly exposed or used everywhere, it creates security and management problems.
Jasmy's invention starts with a first key stored on the device.
The device can use that key, together with other information, to create a second key.
The second key can then be used when encrypted transaction information is recorded on a blockchain.
Why is that useful?
It creates the possibility of generating different cryptographic identities or credentials for different purposes without continually exposing the underlying master credential.
The patent also describes applications in which different software can be associated with different derived keys.
Example
Think of the first key as the master key to a secure building.
Instead of handing the master key to every room, the system creates different access cards for different rooms.
The master key remains protected.
What could it be used for?
Potential applications include:

enterprise devices
blockchain logging
software-specific blockchain records

This is one of the patents that makes Jasmy's blockchain work particularly relevant to real devices, rather than blockchain existing only as a financial ledger.

No.
It belongs to the same underlying family, but JP7719450 resulted from a divisional application.
That means parts of the original invention were separated and pursued through another patent application.
What does this patent concentrate on?
This patent goes more deeply into how a device can:
hold a first key
create multiple secondary keys
associate those keys with particular software
encrypt information generated by particular software
record that encrypted information on blockchain
Why does that matter?
A business computer can run many different applications.
Those applications do not necessarily need to share one blockchain identity.
This architecture potentially allows:

Application B → Key B → blockchain record
while both ultimately derive their security from the protected device-level credential.
Example
Instead of every employee in a building using the same security pass, each department receives a different pass derived from the building's central security system.
A compromise in one area therefore does not necessarily expose everything else.

What problem does this patent solve?
Passwords and static security questions have an obvious weakness.
Someone who steals the answer may be able to impersonate the legitimate user.
This invention takes a different approach.
How does it work?
The system examines a user's previous dialogue history with an agent.
It generates questions according to defined rules.
The person attempting to authenticate is then asked those questions.
The system evaluates whether the answers match what would be expected from the genuine user.
Example
Instead of asking:
“What is your mother's maiden name?”
the system could effectively ask something derived from your previous interactions that a stranger would be much less likely to know.
Why is that useful?
It introduces a more contextual form of identity verification.
Potential applications could include:
account recovery
conversational AI authentication
fraud prevention

Important ownership point
This is not solely a Jasmy patent.
It is jointly associated with Jasmy and VITS.
That matters when assessing Jasmy's intellectual-property portfolio.

Biometric-derived password generation

What problem does it solve?
Modern phones already use fingerprints or facial recognition.
But in many systems, biometrics simply unlock a password that has already been stored somewhere. Jasmy's invention takes a different approach.
What does it do?
The system obtains biometric information from the user.
That information is used to create seed-key information.
The system also obtains information relating to the destination or service being accessed.
It then combines those pieces of information to generate a password.
Example
Your biometric characteristic helps create a secret ingredient.
The system then combines that ingredient with information about the particular service you want to access. The resulting password can therefore be specific to that service.
Why is that potentially useful?
It could reduce dependence on:
remembered passwords
reused passwords
centrally stored password lists

How is this different from the granted biometric patent?
This is a divisional application from the same biometric-password family.
It therefore deserves to be identified separately rather than being hidden under the granted patent.
What additional ideas does it cover?
The application describes storing corresponding biometric information and potentially dummy biometric information. The system can select the appropriate biometric information and use it with access information to generate a password.
Why introduce dummy biometric information?
The underlying objective is stronger security.
If sensitive biometric-derived information is stored in a structure containing other information, it can potentially make it more difficult for an attacker simply to identify and extract the meaningful credential.
Current international position
The patent-family records reviewed here currently identify this biometric family in Japan.
I have not found a published US, European or PCT equivalent for this family in the records reviewed.
JASMY PATENT 8
AC/DC power conversion and distributed power system

Why is this patent surprising?
Because it is not primarily about personal data.
It is about electricity.
The invention covers an AC/DC power-conversion device using an inverter, battery and multiple current sensors.
What problem is it trying to solve?
Electrical loads can change extremely quickly.
Traditional power sources do not always respond instantly enough to those fluctuations.
The invention aims to control current rapidly so that fluctuations on the load side can be absorbed or managed using the inverter and battery system.
What does the device contain?
At a simplified level:
a connection to the main distribution line
a connection to a secondary distribution line
a connection to a storage battery
an inverter
multiple current sensors
control circuitry
The current sensors monitor what is happening on different sides of the system.
The inverter then responds to those measurements.
Example
Imagine a building suddenly turning on a large amount of electrical equipment.
Instead of forcing the wider grid to react instantly to that sudden demand, a local battery and inverter can respond. The battery effectively acts as a shock absorber.
But there is another very interesting element
The patent also describes multiple power-conversion devices exchanging electricity.
Before electricity is supplied between devices, reservation information can be written to a blockchain.
The actual amount supplied and consumed can then also be recorded on blockchain.
That means the patent is not simply:
battery + inverter.
It also contemplates:
distributed energy + measurement + transaction records + blockchain.
Why does that matter?
Potential applications include:
local microgrids
distributed batteries
renewable-energy communities
peer-to-peer electricity exchange
industrial energy management
auditable energy transactions
smart grids
International status
This is currently a PCT international application.
That does not mean Jasmy has already been granted patents throughout the world.
As of this review, I have not identified published national grants arising from this PCT application. That is therefore one of the most important patent families to watch.
2. JASMYLAB
JasmyLab was established in 2023 and operates in areas including distributed GPUs, blockchain development and Web3 infrastructure.
Current patent position
Japan's G-Biz corporate information system currently reports:
Patents: 0
for JasmyLab Inc.
Does that mean JasmyLab has no intellectual property?
No.
That would be an incorrect conclusion.
A technology company can protect intellectual property through:
patents
software copyright
trade secrets
proprietary algorithms
confidential know-how
trademarks
licensing arrangements
Patent applications can also remain unpublished for a period after filing.
What can we say confidently?
As of 13 September 2026: I have not identified a published patent application or granted patent directly assigned to JasmyLab Inc. That is different from saying JasmyLab has never filed one.
3. JANCTION
JANCTION is a service/project operated by JasmyLab rather than a separate patent-owning corporation.
Its technology currently includes:
distributed GPU infrastructure
GPU Pool
blockchain infrastructure
workload scheduling
secure execution
verification infrastructure
Smart Render
digital-asset infrastructure
Does JANCTION itself own patents?
I have not identified a published patent naming #JANCTION as the legal applicant or patent owner. That distinction matters because JANCTION is a brand/project operated by JasmyLab.
What about claims that JANCTION uses patented technology?
JasmyLab's own material has referred to patented technologies in connection with its business. However, that statement does not by itself identify:
the patent number
the patent owner
whether JasmyLab owns it
whether it is licensed
whether it belongs to a partner
Until a specific patent record is identified, it would be unsafe to label an unidentified patent as a “JANCTION patent”.
SMART RENDER BY JANCTION
Smart Render is particularly relevant because it combines technology and expertise from JasmyLab, Jasmy and Panasonic Advanced Technology.
Patent status
The August 2026 announcement states that:
Smart Render by JANCTION is the subject of a trademark registration application.
That is a trademark, not a patent.
A trademark protects branding.
A patent protects an invention.
The two should not be confused.
Why could Smart Render eventually become patent-relevant?
Its technical architecture includes:
distributed GPU allocation
parallel rendering
secure data transfer
controlled execution environments
Jasmy PDL integration
Some of those implementation methods could potentially produce patentable inventions.
But unless and until an application is published, that remains speculation.
4. REMIXPOINT
Remixpoint has a longer patent history.
Its intellectual-property record reflects the company's evolution through software, image processing, industrial inspection, digital platforms and now energy.

Battery storage is useful, but simply owning a battery does not automatically make it economically efficient.
Electricity prices change throughout the day.
A smarter system needs to determine:
When should we buy electricity?
When should we store it?
When should we discharge it?
What does the patent do?
The system obtains next-day wholesale electricity-market prices.
It calculates thresholds from those prices.
When electricity is relatively cheap, it can schedule charging.
When electricity becomes relatively expensive, it can schedule discharging.
But it does not blindly follow the schedule.
It can also consider:
battery condition
electricity demand
changes in demand
connected loads
Example
Think of it as an automated energy trader attached to a large battery.
Cheap electricity → buy and store
Expensive electricity → discharge
But if the battery or building suddenly needs something different, the system can override the original schedule.
Why is this strategically important?
It turns a battery from passive hardware into an actively managed economic asset.
That is directly relevant to Remixpoint's current expansion into:

Traditional screening can rely entirely on the marketplace operator.
This invention introduces community feedback.
How does it work?
A seller submits information about an item.
The system facilitates a social-media post concerning the proposed item.
It then obtains information representing social-media users' evaluations of that item.
That information can be used to determine whether the listing is appropriate.
Example
Before allowing something into an online marketplace, the system effectively asks:
“How is the wider community reacting to this item?”
That feedback becomes another input into the listing decision.
Why is it relevant?
This reflects Remixpoint's earlier digital-platform activities rather than its present energy focus.
It nevertheless shows a recurring interest in: data → automated evaluation → decision-making.

Interactive image optimisation

What problem does it solve?
Image-editing software can have huge numbers of possible parameter combinations.
A normal user may not know which settings will produce the best-looking result.
What does the invention do?
The system generates several candidate versions of an image.
The user selects the preferred version.
The computer then uses that choice to narrow the possible parameter space and generates another set of candidates.
The process can continue iteratively.
Example
The computer says:
“Which of these pictures looks best?”
You choose one.
The computer learns the direction you prefer and produces better-targeted alternatives.
Why is it interesting today?
The patent predates today's generative-AI boom, but the basic principle is recognisable:
machine generates options → human supplies preference → machine refines output.
It is a historical Remixpoint patent, not evidence that Remixpoint currently operates an AI image-generation business.
REMIXPOINT PATENT 4
Drill-wear inspection

What problem does it solve?
Factories need to know when cutting tools have worn sufficiently to require regrinding or replacement.
Human judgement can vary.
What does the system do?
It captures an image of a drill tip.
The shape of the cutting edge is measured.
The system compares the result with reference information representing:
an unused drill
a drill that should be considered worn out
It then mathematically estimates the degree of wear.
Example
Instead of a worker looking at a drill and saying:
“That looks worn.”
the computer measures the image and estimates objectively how far the drill has progressed from new to worn out.
Why is it relevant?
It demonstrates Remixpoint's earlier involvement in:

Why are there several patent numbers?
Because one invention can produce:

These should not be interpreted as completely unrelated inventions simply because the patent numbers differ.
International significance
Unlike many of #Remixpoint's historical patents, this technology was pursued outside Japan.
That shows that Remixpoint and its research partner considered the industrial inspection technology sufficiently valuable to seek broader protection.

Image analysis, registration and search

Japan status: GRANTED / HISTORICAL
What problem does it solve?
Computers need a mathematical way of understanding whether images are similar.
Simply comparing pixels is often not enough.
What does the technology do?
It extracts features from images and uses mathematical transformations to create a space in which different image classes can be distinguished more effectively.
Example
Instead of teaching a computer:
“These exact pixels mean a dog.”
the system tries to identify the deeper characteristics that make one class of images different from another.
Why is it important?
This was essentially machine-learning-style image classification and retrieval work before today's AI terminology became commonplace.
It demonstrates that Remixpoint's historical technology portfolio was significantly more technical than its present energy-focused public identity might suggest.

Image analysis and image-search improvement

What problem does it solve?
Searching images effectively requires the computer to identify the characteristics that actually distinguish one type of image from another.
What does it do?
The system:
extracts features from multiple images
obtains known class information
creates mathematical weighting
maps the features into a higher-dimensional space
identifies a subspace useful for distinguishing image classes
Example
Imagine giving a computer thousands of photographs and telling it which categories they belong to.
The system tries to discover which combinations of characteristics are most useful for telling those categories apart.
Why is it relevant?
Again, this belongs to Remixpoint's historical image-analysis era.
But it provides useful context for understanding that Remixpoint's technical background predates its energy and digital-asset businesses.
5. DEEPPOINT
#DEEPPOINT requires an important clarification.
DEEPPOINT is not a separate DeepTech company with Tadashi Morita's patents sitting inside it.
It is a DeepTech media and growth-platform initiative operated by Remixpoint.
It covers fields including:
AI
semiconductors
quantum technology
space
fusion
robotics
next-generation energy
Does DEEPPOINT own Tadashi Morita's patents?
No evidence supports that conclusion.
DEEPPOINT has interviewed and featured Morita and describes his extensive invention history.
That does not transfer ownership of those patents to DEEPPOINT.
What about “D. DEEPPOINT”?
A 2026 Korean intellectual-property record exists for D. DEEPPOINT.
However, that record is a trademark-class registration, not evidence of a DEEPPOINT technology patent.
Again:
brand protection ≠ invention patent.
Current conclusion
I have not identified a published technology patent directly assigned to DEEPPOINT itself.
Its significance is currently as a platform connecting:
technology + inventors + companies + investors + commercialisation.
6. OTHER PATENTS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THIS NETWORK
This section needs to be handled carefully.
Tadashi Morita is described by DEEPPOINT as having produced approximately 110 patents during his career.
Many were created during his career at #Sony.
Rather than misrepresenting all 110 as “Jasmy-related patents”, the most relevant foundational examples are listed below.

It is not a Jasmy patent, but it helps explain #Morita's technical background.
